Just a quick update to let you know where i have been all this time...

We have been lucky enough to have been invited into the indigenous community of Mutitaulu (next to Uluru).

For the last two months i have been learning about the traditional language, the culture and philosophies (or Tjukurpa) of the local people, the "Anangu". What an amazing learning experience. Cant wait to get back to the markets and share some of the stories.

Here is a little teaser of some of the wax lanterns that the "Anangu" have painted whilst i have been here. These following pieces are by Lulu and Billy Cooley. And there grand daughter Sissy.

Billy Cooley is a famous Anangu punu (woodwork) artist. His famous "liru" Snakes carved out of Mulga wood are displayed in our National Gallery in Canberra.

Arabian Night - Patchouli and Sandalwood.

A deeply powerful and sensual scent.

Sandalwood is a one of the oldest aromatherapy based scents. Used by both the ancient chinese and the ancient Egyptians. Its is still used today in temples of worship. In Buddhism sandalwood is used to help focus in meditation sessions. The scent is also used in Hinduism and other Japanese and Chinese religions.

The VASE wax lantern

Coming very soon Integrity Candles will be releasing a new style of wax lantern. Our round lanterns have been exceptionally popular but this year we are going to try something new.

These wax lanterns will be taller and narrower (18 CM tall and 15 CM width). Shaped similar to a vase you would put flowers in. Then adding our unique styled artwork to finish off the piece. A new style of carved candles or wax lanterns. The vase wax lantern will be available to purchase online by the end of next month.

Candles at Macquarie Centre and Warringah Mall

During December of last year Integrity Candles was running a stall in popular North Ryde shopping centre - Macquarie Centre. The stall was open from the 10th of December till the 24th Christmas Eve.

We are very pleased to announce it was a huge success for our little business. In fact we actually sold out on the last day.

Our candles, gift hampers and wax lanterns were all very well received by shoppers in Macquarie centre. We also met some lovely people who complimented us on our products.
