Sandalwood is one of the oldest aromatherapy based scents. First used by Ancient Chinese monks 4000 years ago, it was burnt religiously in temples of worship. The Ancient Egyptians also imported the wood from Asia, burning it to venerate the gods. It was used in their medicines and for embalming. Sandalwood is still today used to heal the heart & rest the mind.
